C3 IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BE!

Conversations @ the Corner Cafe (C3) is
a gathering of regular people like
yourself who meet to have a friendly,
respectful conversation about current
events, pop culture, the arts, philosophy,
ethics, history, science and how these
intersect with religion and spirituality.
C3 is absolutely free. However we are
asking those who attend to be good
patrons and plan to purchase some of
the great food prepared by the folks at
Italia's Corner Cafe. C3 will provide the
first two bottles of wine for those who
attend.

“Faith is the great cop-out” says Richard Dawkins, author of The God Delusion, “...the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence.” Is religion a hindrance to scientific progress? Does it teach us to be satisfied with not understanding our world and universe? Can science give us a reason for our existence or a reason to be moral? Are science and faith compatible?
Drs. Michael Pollack and Judith Pollack will join our open forum to discuss these and other matters pertaining to science and faith. |
